Recipe:


Easy Chili (serves 4)

1lb lean hamburger (I prefer grass fed/hormone free from Whole Foods)

1 16oz can GF stewed tomatoes

2 16oz cans dark kidney beans

1 8oz can tomato sauce

Chili Powder

1/2 package GF Elbow noodles


Season and brown hamburger in 2 quart pot.  I like to season my hamburger while it is cooking with salt, pepper and garlic powder.  Drain fat.  Pour contents of each can into pot on top of browned hamburger.  Sprinkle a layer of chili powder over ingredients then stir.  Add some salt and pepper, cover and simmer for 3 hours, stirring and tasting every half hour.   At the 3 hour mark, boil elbow noodles separately, drain the excess water from the noodles and pour into pot of chili and stir.  Return cover, remove from heat and let stand for 15 minutes.  Enjoy!!
